Mass Effect and the COD4 multi-player alone should carry you through April of '08.

TV for entertainment? Who needs it?

I personally would rather DVR reruns from previous seasons of shows like "Eureka" "Psych" and "Monk." than any new reality show.

I'm trying to see the AMPTP's side of things; however, there are writers' blogs that I've followed for years - and the writers not only have the leverage - they have the credibility in the labor strife. Reading the dueling statements at the AMPTP and UnitedHollywood sites makes me sad for entertainment and the very human collateral damage being inflicted with no end in sight. I'd love to watch BG on NBC during the strike (I first saw the pilot when it aired on NBC). Network re-airings would also mean some nice paychecks for the writers. One of the larger issues in the strike has to do with the move away from televised reruns in recent seasons.

Im excited about Gladiators. Being a twenty something and having watched the orginal (hell I even had the video game) I can't wait for it. It's honestly the best out of all of the new reality shows being introduced.

I'll give you "Gladiators." I admit I am kind of looking forward to that.

But I'd rather see CBS call up "Dexter" or "Weeds" or Fox show "The Shield" or "Rescue Me" than junk like "America's Next Top Shoe Salesman" or "Lawn Mowing with the Stars."

Oddly enough, the show I'm looking forward to the most over the next couple of months is American Gladiators.

The ads have been tongue-in-cheek, it has the retro-factor for the over 30 crowd, and the cult status of MXC and Ninja Warrior may bring in some younger viewers.

There *was* a rumor last month that Battlestar Galactica might be showing up on NBC at some point.

I think Eureka would be a very good fit for NBC. There have been two 13-hour seasons so far, so there are enough episodes to last half a calendar year. (Click on my name for more info.)

Why don't the networks call shows up from the minors? On NBC I'd rather see reruns of "Battlestar Galactica," "Monk" or "Psych" then reality garbage like "Clash of the Choirs."

All of the networks have cable cousins. Take some of their shows and expose them to a new audience.

Not all series are out of fresh episodes. Stargate Atlantis will return from the holiday break on January 4th for the ten-episode second half of its season.

And, of course, some shows aren't even starting their seasons till January or February (Prison Break, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and New Amsterdam all come to mind).
