We’ve been using Netlflix’s “Watch Instantly” section (18 hours of streaming per month) in lieu of TV. I’ve been able to watch the 1st season of 30 Rock (Love it!), Dead Like Me, the first two seasons of “The Office”, and I’ve finally got the 3rd season of LOST coming via DVD for New Years.
Can I just say, every single one of these shows is demonstrably better without advertising.

I forgot to mention World Wide Internet TV. Some guy in the Netherlands has organized a list of 2,300+ sites that have either live internet broadcasts or on demand content.
Many news stations from around the world are listed but there are a lot of entertainment-related streaming sites as well.

I’ve been watching a lot of TV on DVD. Take a look at the TV section of Netflix. I’ll bet you see a lot of canceled shows that you probably would have watched if they weren’t at the same time as another show you were already committed to.
For example, I always thought That 70s Show was funny, but never really watched it regularly. Now I’m working my way through the second season and I love it. When I feel like something outside the comedy genre, I pop in Eureka. The first season is on DVD and it’s a pretty good watch. There are tons of good shows out there - even many that were good, but only made it a season or so (see: Point Pleasant).

Who needs writers when you have cliphunter.com?
The only thing more exciting is finding a dead baby on the beach.
Happy Holidays.

Rev3’s Totally Rad Show lately is kind of like a weekly “What to do during the WGA strike.”

I think I now see why the nets are moving to unscripted. Nothing magical here.
