Don,
Thanks. I forgot about "Medium." And yeah, every network has at least ONE episodes of many series that they have yet to air.

I'm working on figuring out what shows to cover for a TV blog I'm going to write for my college's newspaper, and I am actually suprised by how much original programming there is for winter. There are definately many more reality and game programs than fall, but there's still a good number of scripted programs to choose from, too. Enough to lose plenty of homework time to, at any rate.

I'm doing this off the top of my head (so I'm probably missing some more).

CBS also has the return of "The New Adventures Of Old Christine" in Feb.

Fox has the return of "Prison Break," as well as more new episodes of most of their Sunday Night animated shows. They also have six episodes of The Farrelly Brothers comedy "Unhitched" in March, as well as "The Return Of Jezebel James" "Canterbury's Law" has been pushed back to April, I believe.

Ironically, the fact that the spring schedule has been so competitive has helped the networks, since it met they had some midseason shows already in the can. Although most of these dramas only have six or eight episodes finished.

You know, I'll probably get eviserated for saying this, but the first Paradise Hotel was one of the best reality shows I've ever seen. Make no mistake, it was full of horrible people, no doubt. But its bizarre insights into what people will do just to get on TV and win money make it one of the most underrated programs in TV history.

NBC does have the most new, original programming, but it's mostly reality programming, not traditional scripted shows. If you go by brand new, never-before-seen-ANYWHERE episodes, here's what we've got this upcoming season:

NBC:
Lipstick Jungle
Law & Order
(Plus "quarterlife" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," which have previously aired on MySpace and USA, respectively.)

CBS:
Jericho
Welcome to the Captian

FOX:
New Amsterdam
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

ABC:
Cashmere Mafia
Lost
Eli Stone

Plus, MyNetworkTV has a new season of "Paradise Hotel," so why would anybody even bother watching NBC? [/sarcasm]

And it'll all work wonderfully, until American Idol comes along after the first week and, once again, destroys NBC's schedule.

I think you might mean more in the first quarter of 2008 than in 2007.

It's a nice piece of spin for NBC, but it is stretching things a bit. For instance, the episodes of L&W:CI have already aired on the USA Network.

But given the overall quality of the new shows (and let me tell you, what I've seen of "Celebrity Apprentice" puts new meaning in the word 'crap') perhaps a more accurate slogan would be...

"So whenever you hear those Peacock chimes - you’ll know there’s (bing bong bong) reality TV happening … on NBC.”
