HBO sticks toes in broadband waters

HBO is one of the last television operations to embrace video on the internet. It’s testing a free service that would allow HBO subscribers to watch selected video online. Initially, the service is only available in Green Bay and Milwaukee, with plans to expand.

did anyone see the promo last night for Showtime’s Dexter coming to CBS? did someone not say that it was only a matter of time for those shows to make their way onto broadcast?
not hbo related, but it is subscription tv!

Well, that’s a perfect test audience, seeing how their viewing schedule over the next two weeks suddenly freed up last night, and they’ll need something to take their mind off of football.
