MTV launches virtual skate park
Cory Bergman January 30th, 2008
First MTV debuted a virtual world called Laguna Beach. Then Pimp my Ride. And Virtual Hills, Virtual Kaya, The Real World and Virtual Newport Harbor. And now MTV and partner Makena Technologies have launched a… virtual skate board park. Sweetness.

Don’t evveryone beat me up at once, but I’ve noticed ads during some recent online viewings of “Gossip Girl” promoting a virtual “Upper East Side”. When I saw this post, I thought I’d mention it and when I went to grab the info url to put under my name, I discovered that it’s actually a “neighborhood” in Second Life.
Note: The info url autoruns an introductory video which appears to double as a tutorial.
