Hulu to stream Super Bowl ads

Michael Gay February 1st, 2008

huluFOX and NBC video site hulu.com will be streaming all of Sunday’s Super Bowl ads according to an interesting bit from TV Week today. The commercials will be available in “high-quality streaming video” at hulu.com/superbowl after the game ends.

Do you think this means the site will go live in front of the audience for the Super Bowl? Sure would be a good time to run an ad.

Not to dismiss Hulu… but, I’ve often wondered: why aren’t commercials available for download? I mean, the object is to get it in front of eyeballs; and if I want to show it to my friends isn’t that a good thing?

for the millions without an invite, the billions who live outside the US (and plain old folk like me that refuse to ask for one, why the hell should i?) youtube is doing the same thing: adblitz’s channel.

most folks will be so buzzed on their substance of choice i hardly think “a high-quality stream” will matter much.

    could be wrong.
