Yahoo now in talks with News Corp.

One idea on the table would be for News Corp. to “swap its ownership of MySpace and several other online properties for a stake of 20% or more in Yahoo,” reports the WSJ. But people familiar with the deal at News Corp. say there’s only an “outside chance” of a deal. (WSJ sub. req.)

wouldn’t the taint of MySpace cause people to want to shy away from a Yahoo/News Corp. site? it seems to me to be a bit of a yellow flag at the very least.

there is nothing wrong with a little competition
i think this is better for the internet competition
microsoft and google are 2 powerhouses
if yahoo joins with news corp then they can become another powerhouse who can challenge te two big boys
