Packers.com switches to breaking news layout

Brett Favre is leaving, and Packers.com is getting hammered. So it switched to a lighter breaking news format to handle all the traffic. (Thanks, Chip!)

Interestingly, just got a memo from AP Online Video Network regarding Packer’s press conference:
“We have just been informed by the NFL that we CANNOT provide a live stream of the Packers press conference. NFL rules prohibit usage of live streaming. We will turn tape ASAP.”
[insert commentary on antiquated policies of your choice here]

That’s OK, maybe it will be fixed after he comes back this season and then retires after next year.

I think Brett will end up coming back. They had a great season last year and it was unfortunate they lost early,but this is his best opportunity to get back to the Super Bowl since 1996. The Packers have a Super Bowl caliber team.
