People in newsrooms will listen to this. They will laugh. They will send it around to their friends. Everyone will recognize how close to home this hits because it sends up all the cliches.
Then they’ll make more promos just like it.

In the next version, they’ll include tape of a person actually dying — while drinking tap water. “Are YOU next?!?!”

My station is running a campaign called “Bad Ideas”, and if you click my name, there’s a great one mocking Weather promos. “Panther Radar 3D-HD with Digital Storm Stalker. It’s taller!”
