March Madness on Demand in full swing

Cory Bergman March 20th, 2008

Have you been watching March Madness on Demand? It just took 60 seconds or so waiting “in line” without a VIP pass to get in, and everything seems to be streaming just fine. I had a few buffering problems with one game, but nothing too major. As we’ve mentioned before, MMOD will stream all the NCAA games this year, all the way to the finals. Very, very cool.

Yes, it has the boss button again this year, but be careful if you’re logged on to Facebook — it’s “Beacon” feature may rat you out for watching at work.

I’m having to reload every so often, and it crashes my browser.

Big College basketball fan here and a fan of UCLA going back to the Reggie Miller and Pooh Richardson days. This will come in handy for me because im a truck driver. But i can bring my laptop on the road and still catch some of the NCAA tournament with this. Thanks

    It worked last year.

This year the audio is fine and the first few seconds of video are good….after that-freeze frame. Even the HIGHLIGHTS of completed games freeze.

I’m in Budapest, Hungary, watching MMOD over a crappy wireless connection, but I have to say, aside from some annoying freezes due to buffering issues, and initial problems with the configuration of my WMP plugin, this has been largely great! I love going into full-screen mode and just sitting back and watching. For a person living overseas, with no access to games on TV, this is truly great! Good on the NCAA for providing this! Go Bruins!

You can find MMOD on RSSLiveTV. Maybe next year it’ll work better. I’m still amazed that there where over 100,000 folks in queue when I visited!

The last 2 years it worked wonderfully. This year it doesn’t work worth a damn. I have all kind of plug-in issues and gave up.
