‘J-Z out’: Zucker tapes intro for ‘Earl’

DeadlineHollywoodDaily reports NBCU president Jeff Zucker is set to appear in the season premiere of My Name is Earl - recapping the season before the strike. The clip is on NBC.com… and is… something else:
Update: I just noticed that after watching the clip, the first “related video” that comes up is called “Don’t Quit Your Day Job.” Man… those related content engines get better and better all the time.

I just about spit out my coffee over the “17 days” crack (referring to the much-loathed seventeen days that networks get to stream a show for ‘free’, that is, without paying the writers).
This must have come from NBC’s promotions department - I can’t believe the writers of “Earl” would have THAT good a sense of humor!

I guess at some point you reach a level where you think you can do it all. You have people so fearing you that they can’t use words like uncomfortable and stiff to describe your performance. And that’s how these things make air.
