“Drudge still records seven times the monthly page views of The Huffington Post, meaning that readers are frequently refreshing for the latest headlines.”

In actuality, Drudge has his entire page automatically reload every 180 seconds, so anybody who simply leaves the page open, even in the background, is counted numerous times. HuffPo uses AJAX to update content without refreshing the page. There is, of course, a long-running argument against the relevance of page views as a metric when AJAX is employed, but Drudge’s auto-refresh practice just makes use of the metric a joke.

“NBC O&O Sites to nearly double sales teams”:

Good for them. It’s a simple equation: the more sales people you have, the more you sell. Combine this news with the report from Borrell that 75% of local station inventory is going unsold, and you can see the inarguable logic.

Yes, JG, it’s still me. Good to see you’re still monitoring the ol’ LR stomping grounds.
