Google cuts 300 jobs at DoubleClick

David Johnson April 3rd, 2008

Just weeks after the March 11 takeover, Google has cut 300 jobs at DoubleClick’s U.S. operation. The cuts represent about a quarter of DoubleClick’s American work force of about 1,200. DoubleClick has another 300 or so employees overseas, who may be next on the block. Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt says the reduction in force is just business as usual in acquisitions and mergers.

Yeah, well they just cut our main contact with no word as to who we’re supposed to deal with in future. Not a good sign.
