Hulu sells out of ads, to add more

Hulu has sold out of its ad inventory. “Does that mean Hulu’s a hit? Not exactly,” writes Michael Learmonth in Silicon Alley Insider. “For starters, Hulu execs have kept the ad load on the site intentionally light, showing only one ad per commercial break to avoid driving off users.” But more ads are on the way — some selling at an estimated $60-70 CPM.

Not that my kids have been watching too much Hulu, but the other day I was watching something or another and when it went to a break, I told my son who had moved onto my lap that the show will be back after the commercial. This prompted him to exclaim, “it’s not a momercial, it’s Chilis”.
His third birthday will be next week.

tried hulu for first time the other night. good quality, strange, kind of annoying selection. but i’ll be back
