Like you, this is my first trip to NAB, and I'm disappointed and wishing I would have done the Web 2.0 conference next week in SF. In all honesty, I feel like reading blogs like this are much better than attending super huge shows like NAB. I don't want to sound like a big downer, not all was bad, the Adobe booth was informative and I learned more from their demonstrations than the $600 web production workshop I convinced my company I needed. I'll give it another try on Tuesday.

For many years, RTNDA had its own convention every fall. The last one scheduled in that format was due to start a few days after 9/11 and ever since it has been in partnership with the NAB event.

While NAB is mainly known for the show, RTNDA is known for the workshops. Since some exhibitors target their products to the news broadcasters, the separate hall gives them a place to present their wares without the craziness of the NAB show floor.

Andy why exactly would NAB want to worsen their event by embracing dull boring snobs?
