Is dusk falling on the nightly news?
David Johnson April 17th, 2008
4-in-10 national journalists agree, the network nightly news has roughly a decade left before it signs off for good, according to a recent Pew survey. The respondents were less gloomy about newspapers, only 17% say the presses will stop a decade from now.

That’s still 6-in-10 who think it’ll still be around in a decade.
Personally, unless CBS can find another Scheiffer, I can see them folding their newscast. But I can also see them sticking around for the long haul as well. I think more local news will fold before the big three.
