Feeling a bit like Davidson this year or George Mason a couple of years ago, I'm just glad to make this Final Four!

I'm proud that everyone in our newsroom is a content producer. Our channel is a 24-hour site.

But I disagree that it is the content tool that makes the difference. Clickability is outstanding! But we create the design, and most importantly, the content. People make the difference in content! I'm so proud of my people!

Just to clarify - and if you click through to the actual list of nominees you'll see this - we (I am at Fox Chicago) are nominated as "Fox News Chicago" rather than myFoxChicago.com.

How many of those sites aren't standard content management systems deployed on dozens of different stations' websites?

Especially the MyFox candidate. It defeats the purpose of web site awards when you're just "cherry picking" from a crop of clones.

By saying this, I mean no disrespect. Hell, I'm a web producer for a station that uses MyFox, but by the logic of choosing MyFoxChicago, they should just give the award to the entire MyFox platform.

I understand local content and all that, but stations are very limited with their ability to be diverse, especially when FIM doesn't allow any customizations to their platform.

Someone should start an award (if it doesn't already exist) for television site platforms / content management systems.

Congrats to you and KING!
