NBC shows now available on Zune

Cory Bergman May 5th, 2008

Last year, NBC didn’t renew its contract with iTunes over a disagreement on flexible pricing, so the network pulled its shows off the download service. Now “The Office” and “Heroes” are appearing on Zune Marketplace for $1.99 each — the same price they sold on iTunes. But in this case, the Zune deal includes a provision for flexible pricing, although there are no “concrete plans” to do so.

NBC sure knows how to ensure maximum exposure for their struggling shows. The 10 people who own a Zune are going to be really happy.

I’ve never been to Zune. It sounds nice. And roomy. And I can watch NBC there, apparently.

Wow, I’m still not buying a Zune. Idiots. I guess I can do without NBC shows, but then ABC, CBS, and FOX do seem to be making smarter decisions about everything else - especially programming….

I already own an iPod, why the heck would I buy a Zune?

NBC’s catalog isn’t enough of a bait. I want something better.

Though Cory, hint hint, since KING is an NBC affiliate, put Almost Live! up there and maybe, just maybe I’ll give in and scrounge up some cash and buy a Zune.
