Keith has been a hero of mine for a long time. I truly believe that he is the undisputed heir to the mantle of Edward R Murrow. I say undisputed only because of the untimely and devastating loss of Tim Russert. Tim was another hero of mine in the Edward R Murrow tradition and his death was a great loss to integrity in broadcasting. I haven't felt so devastated by the death of a public figure since the death of John Lennon. The acoustic instrumental version of "Thunder Road" by Tim's brother-in-law Tim's memorial service gave me chills and made me cry. I believe that although Keith would be a great moderator for Meet The Press I also realize that with the current state of the republican party he might have a hard time being unbiased. I never miss either MTP or Countdown and pray I never have to. I also want to thank Tom Brokaw for filling in for the interim. Big Ups Tom! I hope that the producers of MTP do consider Ms. Andrea Mitchell for the permanent post as moderator. I met Ms Mitchell in the late '90 's when she used to rent videos at my video store in Pembroke Pines, FL. She is a great journalist with the requisite quick tongue needed to excel at that position, and I think is a perfect pick to fill Tim's shoes, hard as that may seem.
