PBS to join the Hulu parade

Right on the heels of the Viacom deal – Hulu is also adding PBS shows. The PBS programs, including Nova, Wired Science and others will have a 30-second pre-roll (gasp… a commercial before a PBS show?!). PBS and Hulu will split the spoils.

  1. Actually, PBS has long had several commercials before shows on-air. I guess they call the advertisers “supporters” or something like that – but they’re commercials.

  2. Yeah Rocker, it’s another example of sarcasm online not really working. The NYT pieces goes on and on about how PBS shows will have commercials… but everytime I watch PBS there seems to be a commercial these days.
