If we’re in confessional mode about bad reading habits, I’ll let you in on a secret of mine: I sometimes don’t read a whole post, but skip to the comments to see if they are stimulated by the article. If they aren’t, my follow-the-crowd brain kicks in and I scroll down to the next article.
I don’t think everything has to be written that way - I pray not. But some very valid points there. If you want QUANTITY of eyeballs, write that way. Quality, well, that’s a bit less black and white (space). How and what we read online are very valid subjects for discussion. (How to get complex issues across and follow that format - that’s another matter, as to how to monetize such reportage;-)
