I run a hyperlocal news site and started posting my stories - knocking the newspapers' right off Topix. (if you feed it, it won't search for more news.) Yet people I've spoken to are completely unaware my stories are there and they've generated no comments. To me that means at least in my neck of the woods, Topix is not being used to find news, local or otherwise. 'Hey, we now have the same entertainment news as your local newspaper....come on by!"
