Wow, Belo wins two years running for the best large-market TV site (KING5.com won last year.)

And check out that one-two punch for Belo Dallas - WFAA & DallasNews!

OK so I’m piling on the bandwagon … but that’s pretty impressive that FAA and DMN both got tapped.

I’ve always wondered what goes through the judges’ heads when they judge these sites. What made wfaa.com better or even different from other TV sites, especially other Belo sites with essentially the same look and feel (e.g. king5.com)?
I would love to see the awards changed to include a simple paragraph about what made each winner so noteworthy. As it is, it’s hard to know exactly what elements of these sites we should all try to emulate.

9 WSYR was consistantly won the small market AP and Murrow awards for the past 3 years. Strong platforms help stations do what they need to do to deliver the content to the local market.
