McClatchy VP Howard Weaver already has a blog about the “changing news media landscape,” but now he’s taking it a step further with the McClatchyNext wiki. So if you have any great ideas to help stop newspapers from bleeding, ask for an invite (”I’ll invite anybody,” Weaver says) and start writing.

We’re all going to have to stand in line at an Apple or AT&T store to get the new 3G iPhone. Not cool. Also, this makes it more difficult and more expensive to unlock an iPhone because they’re activating it on the spot inside the store.

WFLA is eliminating 10 positions, KNTV laid off 8 people and WOIO/WUAB has let four people go, reports Broadcasting & Cable. As we linked yesterday, KTLA has laid off as many as 7 employees. While that’s all bad news, it pales in comparison to newspaper cuts: some papers are reducing their staff by as much as 25 percent this year.
