Can’t buy new iPhone online

Cory Bergman July 2nd, 2008

We’re all going to have to stand in line at an Apple or AT&T store to get the new 3G iPhone. Not cool. Also, this makes it more difficult and more expensive to unlock an iPhone because they’re activating it on the spot inside the store.

Just wait for the Google phones. They’re cheaper and not so fascist about how you use them.

Remember that news story about the kid who got paid $300 for his spot in line? And then they only let each person buy one phone apiece?

That was great. I hope it happens again.

    I’m glad I don’t even carry a phone.

I wonder what kind of reception I can get inside my cell?

If you could fit inside your cell, I would imagine the cell reception would be no different than inside an office building.

Stupid stupid stupid, There is no store on Martha’s Vineyard Island that sells I phones - the nearest ATT store is 45 minutes away by boat plus a short drive, call it a half day. My local Apple dealer says they won’t let him sell them. Do they want to sell these things to real people or is it just a publicity stunt?
