The local TV cuts continue…
Cory Bergman July 2nd, 2008
WFLA is eliminating 10 positions, KNTV laid off 8 people and WOIO/WUAB has let four people go, reports Broadcasting & Cable. As we linked yesterday, KTLA has laid off as many as 7 employees. While that’s all bad news, it pales in comparison to newspaper cuts: some papers are reducing their staff by as much as 25 percent this year.
But some good news: Obama, McCain expected to spend big on TV

“pales in comparison to newspaper cuts.”
cory, that’s like saying it’s good that Katrina wasn’t worse.
trying to put a good face on what is happening to one aspect of traditional media because it’s worse in another is swell just silly.
