Introducing LR’s youngest new blogger

Cory Bergman July 22nd, 2008

In my years in the news business, I’ve jumped out of bed many times in the night to rush to cover a story. But when my wife announced at 1:30 a.m. on Monday that her water broke — a full month early — the adrenaline was flowing like never before. At 2:14 a.m. today, Kate gave birth to a baby boy named Kai. Both mom and baby (5 pounds 14 ounces) are doing just fine. Now I just have to figure out how to teach the little guy how to blog.

Update: Thanks everyone!!!

Has the video of the joyous event been virally syndicated on YouTube yet?

Congrats Cory to you and Mrs. L-R. Now you really need a DVR to record everything … you probably won’t be watching ‘live’ TV for a while.

Life is gonna change forever for the better! Just wait until he begins saying things. And just wait for the college tuition bills! The days will crawl by and the years will fly by.

Congrats, Cory! He’ll be blogging before you know it! ;)

  • 27. tdc  |  July 23rd, 2008 at 11:10 am

well, i guess cory won’t give their definition of the word ‘kai’ so i’m going to guess it’s the polynesian definition- “ocean” (or big waters).

there are plenty of others, including characters in a playstation game and disney movie character, that’s why i asked for clarification in the first place.

the polynesian version looks to be the most appropriate judging by the baby’s picture- he already knows how to assume the position on a maui beach to catch dakine rays!

again, congrats all the way around!
