Let the games begin!

With the Olympic games just hours away, we’re looking to find the best coverage you see from a local station traveling to Beijing. Post your tips in the comments, and we’ll add them to this list.

What else are you seeing that you like?

They already have…didn’t you see about Brandi Swindell’s little Tienamen (sp) Square Knee Dance?

We have an internet only “one-man band” reporter in Beijing (in addition to our two on-air). He will be doing stories exclusively for the web. Click my name for a story they did on-air about this undertaking..

Oh boy. Brandi’s a Boise girl. I’m sorry world.

Each Olympics for about the last 4 cycles, my interest level has declined. This year, it’s approaching “zero”.

Lindsay Czarniak of WRC in DC is doing some cool stuff with a FlipCam in Beijing while she does work for national NBC. Great behind the scenes video with Julie Foudy and Lester Holt.

It’s still a little barebones, but I thought that Ignore The Olympics dot com was pretty funny.

@Don And you thought Dave Tester or Mix 106’s car scavenger hunt were bad…

Who an I supposed to put in as video provider and I don’t have CABLE (on purpose too)?

Some have noted that on nbcolympics.com after you put in your zipcode … click on DirecTV as your provider. NBC can’t check back.
    You’ll get the streaming video.

It still sits there a sput-t-t-t-t sputters on the olmypics logo.

    Regular annoying piece of crap.

Mind you I signed up for Woodstock ‘99 and finally got to see it…after the rioting.

This webcasting seems to be the biggest game of all. I’ve got gear to repair and sell. This is just wasting my time.

Let the games end soon. I’ll put up with Baby Borrowers II if I have to.

KOMU.com has five bloggers sharing their experiences working for the PR arm of the Olympics - these are students from the Missouri School of Journalism and they’re reporters for KOMU-TV/komu.com

They’ve had amazing experiences over there and they’ve had access to scenes that are hard to come by.

I’m certain that they have and proud of their achievements too. I’ve lost all interest in the whole affair however. They had all this posturing to save the torch and fight terrorism from outside their borders and in the end somebody dies because of inadequite security screen at a major tourist attraction?

The Communists are as moronic as our own government and their games are useless now. Hurricane Katrina comes to mind immediately and that was too much. It is ridiculous having hope for the Olympics.

If it weren’t in China I doubt we’d have half these troubles, not to mention if it were on another outlet entirely.

Supertrain….at least Pink Lady and Jeff had Alice Cooper performing once.
