New Orleans stations begin live streams

Updated: TV stations in the path of Gustav are now streaming live coverage. Hundreds of thousands of people watched WWLtv.com’s live stream during Katrina, and it’s back for Gustav. WDSU is also streaming it’s live coverage, as well as WVUE (Fox) and WGNO (ABC).

New Orleans’ ABC affiliate WGNO is also streaming live. All these stations have been providing round-the-clock coverage on air and online all weekend - and, as always, it’s public service broadcasting at its very finest.

WDSU’s streaming is great. It’s not a big picture, but, it’s very adequate. After 9 minutes, you have to click to continue to watch again, and then click again after 9 minutes, which I’m sure is some way to regulate watchers and make sure no one’s just leaving a stream open for hours and eating up bandwidth. It’s a little annoying, but, it’s been good to watch.
