NBCSports.com to stream first NFL game

Cory Bergman September 4th, 2008

Tonight’s first regular season NFL game will be broadcast on NBC as well as streamed live on NBCSports.com. You can select from four different camera angles, track live stats, submit questions and even watch replays along the way. Pretty cool stuff. More info here. (Full disclosure: I work for msnbc.com, which powers NBCSports.com.)

I’m streaming it now at work on Friday morning (here in Guam) on two of my machines. Totally rad & beyond cool.

Wow… when I started the feed it was a full 1 sec. faster than my local NBC HD station.

I’m really impressed by the “real time” aspect of the feeds.

I think Tony Koenheiser is great for MNF–he brings a great sense of the game and the ability to talk about it. I have a feeling that if Howard Cosel came back from the dead, the powers to be would question if he were right for the job.
