Does anyone really click on the video ads which are simply, oh, say a screengrab of a talking head with a big play button over the person’s nose? (and an “ad by mixpo” beneath)

I would not click play on one of those in a hundred thousand million years. Preroll is annoying but, well, at least you’re forced to watch it unless you are so annoyed you “opt out.” But opting into a video ad … at least the noncontextual ones I’ve seen … just doesn’t seem to make sense.
