TechCrunch’s CrunchGear found a gem hidden away at CES – the iTable by PQ Labs. Check out a video demo below – but here’s the headline: You can get the overlay model (the first thing the host demos) for $2,399. Basically it turns an LCD TV coupled with a Windows PC into a multi-touch device… kinda like a huge iPhone.
This is a way to get your station a CNN Magic Wall for waaaay less than the $100,000 for the Perspective Pixel version (seen on CNN) – or even the $10,000 MS Surface (seen on MSNBC).
Details on the iTable.

Wish it worked with Macs.
That’s the first time that I’ve ever seen the WoW screen…
Oh, and I like the way that the fellow refers to competing products that he won’t name, then about a minute later, he names the biggest competitor in the space.
BTW: I’ll say as a consumer the product looks interesting, but it sort of raises some of the same questions that I had from the HP product which was advertising on Hulu: Clearly there’s some kind of software reading the input and without more information, I kind of wonder what kind of limitations the software might apply.
Прикольно, такое не чаÑто прочитаешь. Ðе вÑÑкий дурак до такого додумаетÑÑ. Да еÑли бы Ñто было кому-нибудь интереÑно, наверное было бы больше комментариев.
I’d like to figure out where the case hookups go on an Intel D845GBV right now, and I HAVE the frickety old PDF manual!
I’m nearsighted and would have a kink or two fussing with it any way but vertically. Don’t we already have touchscreens?
