3D TVs: Are you interested?

Posted by Steve Safran on January 9, 2010

The word “plethora” is usually misused. It does not mean “many.” It means “an overabundance or excess.” (And, for some reason, is usually preceded by the word “veritable.”) So I chose this word carefully when writing the following sentence: There have been a plethora of 3D televisions and gadgets introduced at CES this year. Some require glasses, some require you to sit directly in front of them. I don’t see the big deal. Are we clamoring for this technology in our homes? Do we want everyone to be sitting around the family TV wearing glasses? I lose the remote enough as it is. (Coincidence with this blog’s name duly noted.) So I ask the LR Faithful: are you interested in 3D television? Is this a big deal for you? Are you looking forward to buying one?
