Fwix moves into mobile with local news aggregators

Posted by Steve Safran on February 3, 2010

Fwix, a cool local news and blog live aggregator that automatically detects your city, is going mobile. Fwix (sorry – but about that name…) is launching “City Apps” for six cities. The apps will work on the iPhone and WebOS. According to MobileCrunch, Fwix covers 150+ cities with its websites, so you can expect a lot more mobile action from it. There are an increasing number of mobile aggregators out there, and I’ve encouraged local media outlets to build these. San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle are the first Fwix apps to launch.
