Central Arkansas site setting growth records

Central Arkansas site Argenta News, a hyperlocal in North Little Rock, is crowing about its growth numbers. A post on Argenta News reports:

“Argenta News had 5,320 unique readers in January representing a 9.5% growth over December. In addition Argenta News set a record in site visits for the month with 19,500 visits and over 84,550 page views. We are also fast approaching 700,000 hits a month. That is about one reader every two minutes, 24/7 on Argenta News with each reader spending over seven minutes each visit reading the stories.”

Any site, regardless of size, would kill for a seven-minute-per-visit stat. Advertisements on the site start at $50 per month.

  1. “Fast approaching 700,000 hits a month?” Is this 1998 again?

Sorry… guess I've got my negative cap on today.
