Outside.in announces new partnerships

Outside.in, the aggregator and distributor of hyperlocal information, today announced a bunch of new partnerships for its increasingly growing platform. In an interview this morning with Lost Remote, Outside.in CEO Mark Josephson announced the new partners:

  • Miami Herald
  • Dow Jones Local
  • New York Post
  • The Tribune Company
  • St Louis Post-Dispatch

In December 2009, Outside.in raised $7 million in second-round funding, bringing its total funding to $12 million. In our interview, Josephson talked about the importance of being hyperlocal. “Publishers continue to race to the neighborhood level,” said Josephson.”We’re hearing from clients that they are starting to find success from it. It’s hitting targeted and relevant content at the neighborhood level, as well as developing (successful) packages to sell at that level.”

Lost Remote is working on a longer report regarding hyperlocal aggregators. If you or someone you know runs one, email us at tips@lostremote.com.
