WGN in Chicago has added a new feature to its mobile site that allows iPhone users to watch live newscasts. iPhone users will see a link on the home page when they visit WGNtv.com. “Our staff has been working very hard to reach this goal,” said Greg Caputo, WGN News Director, in a press release. “As viewers become increasingly mobile in their needs and viewing habits, the ability to allow viewers to watch our newscasts live on their iPhones is a huge first step.”
Since launching its mobile site in May 2009, WGN says it’s grown to more than 250,000 page views and 175,000 unique visitors each month.
