NYC gets neighborhood information with ‘NearSay’

Posted by Steve Safran on September 16, 2010

Check out NearSay, a new site for Manhattan that is both local and hyperlocal, breaking down its information by the city’s distinctly different neighborhoods. There are some 80 contributors whose contributions are ranked by their success. The site has neighborhood news and information. Currently covering Manhattan, we are told the site will branch out soon. NearSay combines aggregated information which is selected by the editors with user contributed stories. NearSay has a Facebook page and a Twitter feed as well. Have a look (especially you New Yorkers) and tell us what you think.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It’s the old what goes around comes around routine. Big thanks for the useful info
