Nokia smartphone shoots action movie short

Still worried about “broadcast quality?” Check out this short film, “The Commuter.” Starring Dev Patel of “Slumdog Millionaire” fame and Pamela Anderson of, well, “Pamela Anderson” fame, the flick is fun and full of action. That alone would make it worth your time. But here’s the kicker: it was shot entirely on a Nokia N8 smartphone. According to Mashable, the “phone” has a 12 megapixel camera and can shoot 25 fps in 720p.

Now, imagine these babies in the hands of your reporters. Once they’re on the scene they can immediately start sending back HD video. Yes, this was professionally produced, but there’s no denying the quality. Amazing stuff.
