SOCIAL MEDIA:
Possible YouTube page of alleged shooter Jared L. Laughner. Note his profile – it is written in past tense. “My favorite interest was reading,” “I had favorite books.” Last video on page is entitled “My Final Thoughts.”
Jared Lee Loughner’s MySpace page taken down. Last message on page was reportedly “Goodbye.”
Giffords’ tweet right before the event. (@Rep_Giffords) “My 1st Congress on Your Corner starts now. Please stop by to let me know what is on your mind or tweet me later.”
Sarah Palin offers “condolences… to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords” on Facebook. Giffords has survived.
LR commenter Amanda Emily gives us an important note: “As a heads-up warning to producers who immediately hit Facebook for photos of alleged suspects, there are fake profiles being created. There’s at least three new ones posted within the last hour that I saw.”
