It’s a safe bet that more people will buy 3D television sets for gaming than just about anything else, and Sony unveiled a Playstation-branded 3D gaming TV set today with a killer feature.
If you’ve ever played two-player video game on the same screen, you know how split-screen action is problematic — your screen size is cut in half, and you can see what the other player is doing. But Playstation’s new TV set allows two players wearing 3D glasses to see entirely different views of the game full-screen at the same time.
Now, we wonder if there’s some kind of TV application here, so I can watch Myth Busters while my wife watches the Today Show. Only drawback: it only works in 2D mode, since it’s using the 3D lines to split the image. The set costs $499 and includes one set of glasses.
Anyway, that’s the gadget of the week here on Lost Remote, for you gamers out there.
