Fox 59 WXIN in Indianapolis has changed its Facebook profile to help in the search for missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer:
This is just one of the social media efforts to spread the word. You may have noticed celebs and sports stars retweeting “Help us #FindLauren, Indiana University student missing since 6/3,” and there’s also a Facebook campaign to “tag your friends” in a poster of the missing woman. The account @NewsonLaurenS is tracking the latest on the search.
By the way, WXIN is among the top TV stations in the country in Facebook fans, with 86,460 and counting.
