I’ve been working on the new design for the last few weeks, and I’m still a couple weeks from finishing it. But when our database decided to kick the bucket yesterday afternoon — freezing us out of publishing — I was forced to slap a redirect on LostRemote.com to the working development site and launch this thing.

I have no idea what caused Movable Type to start spitting out random errors, but I suspect it was a combination of an ancient server, massive archive database and a recent barrage of comment spam. So now you’re looking at Lost Remote built in WordPress and hosted on LaughingSquid (the same guys that host BoingBoing.) So… much… better.

I still have a bunch of tweaks and a handful of features to add — not to mention get the domain back to LostRemote.com — so please have mercy. The thought of launching a new website for a bunch of web folks is downright terrifying, especially when a technical meltdown forced me to debut it early.
